I love these

I went to the lactation specialist today, spent almost two hours with her. I used to call them nursing natzi's (sp?) But boy when I need them, I'm singing a different tune. I nursed Ruby while I was there and we weighed her before and after each nursing session. After emptying both breasts we are getting 2 oz. So the nurse said as long as she had a poopy diaper before bedtime then we could hold off on supplimenting with formula but if she doesn't gain enough weight by next Tuesday then she is recommending supplementation. We will see- and she had her poopy diaper BTW right when we got home :). the girls are going to be away all weekend. So I am going to focus on de-stressing, sleeping when Ruby sleeps and nursing a ton. I feel like this will do the trick, a concentrated effort. If not we will go from there. In the meantime, I am loving these little toes. Actually they are quite long. Did I mention that she grew a 1/4 of a inch, she is going to be tall just like her sister. Oh yes, your well-baby appointment. Doc. says he thinks you are doing well wants you to get back to your birth weight (which we are working on). Your belly chord finally fell off. We enjoyed a big family bath time. Right now, you are taking a trip with daddy and I am enjoying a little independence. I love you honey. Oh yes, nights have been going ok. Nothing too tough. I am just constantly wondering if you are getting enough to eat. But you seem to have your days and nights right on, we will see if that sticks. You are awake and alert these days. And you gave your first smiles out to aunt Beth a few nights ago. Mags was a little jealous. So hopefully you will give some out to her when she returns.

YAY!! I am so glad that things are going so well. Those little baby toes are so cute, of course babies are just all kinds of cute. I hope I get to see little Ruby and her cuteness again before I am off on my maternity leave.

Hey! Hang in there! Sounds like you are doing just the right things. I SWEAR by Karen at Expressly For You- she is so wonderful. I also took an herbal suppliment called Fenugreek (Scarlett makes fun of my spelling, but I think she does yours too so forgive me if that is not how it is spelled). They have it at GNC and I think at Fresh Market. I was taking like 6 a day or something. Just a thought. You are an awesome mom! Keep up the great job!
